Goal:
To create visuals that inspired donations and celebrated community involvement in building Mencap’s new sensory garden.
Approach:
Using the “Yellow Brick Road” theme, I drew inspiration from the garden’s woodland and mosaic elements to symbolise collective progress and inclusion.
Solution:
A bright, nature-inspired design with clear, emotive storytelling that strengthened donor connection and supported Mencap’s fundraising success.


About my process
I began by learning about Elmbridge Mencap’s mission and the sensory garden project to understand the heart of the campaign. The “Yellow Brick Road” theme became the foundation of the design, symbolising the collective journey toward inclusion and celebrating the generosity of supporters whose names would appear on the garden’s brick wall.
Drawing inspiration from the woodland setting and planned mosaic designs, I created a warm, uplifting visual style that felt rooted in nature and community.
Each design element from colour and texture to typography was chosen to evoke optimism, connection, and progress, while keeping the campaign clear, accessible, and emotionally engaging.
